Alyssa - Greene County Children Services
Creative would be the first word that comes to mind when describing Alyssa. She loves to write both stories and poems. Drawing and singing are some of her other favorite ways to spend her time. Alyssa has a guitar and is in the beginning stages of learning to play. Given all this, it comes as no surprise that this 9th grader’s favorite subject in school is English.

When I asked Alyssa what future career she was interested in, I fully expected her to say something in the arts. Instead, Alyssa is leaning toward being a police officer. Alyssa said that she thinks being a police officer would be a good way for her to fulfill her desire to help others.

Alyssa looks forward to being placed with an adoptive family. She is open to considering any family composition. It is important to Alyssa to maintain a relationship with her grandparents and siblings. She has asked that interested adoptive families be supportive of this. Because of this, it would be best if Alyssa could be placed within a reasonable driving distance of the Greene County area.

If you would like to learn more about Alyssa, please contact Jana Howell, Adoption Caseworker, at (937) 562-6600, ext. 694.
Dillan
Dillan is a kid that knows what he likes and what he wants. His favorite food is chicken and he says that he would eat it for every meal if he could. Most weekends, you can find Dillan at the skating rink or bowling alley. McDonalds is his first pick if he gets to choose a meal out. Playing video games and watching his favorite football team, The Pittsburgh Steelers, are other activities that Dillan enjoys.

Dillan's foster parents state that he is outgoing, helpful and especially good at math. Dillan really enjoys participating in family activities. He would like a home with both a mom and a dad that would enjoy doing things with him. Dillan likes warm weather and dreams of one day living in a warmer climate, such as Florida. He would like to have pets but prefers not to live on a farm.

Due to his history of abandonment, Dillan has a difficult time with transitions. He has had some hesitation regarding adoption but states that he is now ready to meet his forever family. Dillan will need a family that can give him lots of time and attention. Continuing counseling services will also be important to Dillan's future success. Dillan may do best in a home where he is the only or youngest child. If you think you may be the family for Dillan, please contact Jana Howell, Adoption Caseworker, at (937) 562-6600, ext. 694.
